Content Complaints
Content here is permanent by design. The one thing that overrides that is the law. If something on the platform needs to come down, this is how to tell us.
This document is provided for informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice.
1. What This Channel Is For
Creations on Generative Cats are permanent. The Terms carry exactly one exception to that, and this page is how you invoke it. Write to us if content on the platform:
- infringes rights you hold, and you want it removed;
- is illegal;
- is subject to a court order.
Anything else — a bug, a feature idea, a cat you simply dislike — belongs in the feedback form. And note that no member can ask us to remove a cat merely because they generated it: under the commons rule in Terms section 7, generating something does not make it yours.
2. How to Reach Us
Email complaints@generativecats.app. A person reads it. To make that person's job possible, include:
- Links to the exact content. Every cat, planet, star, and portal has its own URL — paste them. A description of “a cat that looks like ours” is not something we can act on.
- What the problem is. Which right is infringed, or which law applies, in plain language.
- Who you are and, if you are acting for someone else, on whose behalf.
- A court order, if there is one.
- How to reach you for follow-up questions.
3. What Happens Next
We handle complaints case by case rather than through an automated pipeline. We will acknowledge your message, look at the content, and come back to you. Where a rights-holder makes a demand we choose not to contest, where content is illegal, or where a court has ordered it, the content comes down — including from lineage views and search. Where we think a complaint is mistaken we will say so and explain why.
Removal is the only reason content ever leaves the cosmos. It is rare and we treat it as serious in both directions: taking something down breaks a permanent record, and leaving something up that should not be there is worse.
4. About the DMCA
We do not maintain a registered DMCA agent and we publish no formal DMCA notice-and-counter-notice process. We would rather tell you that plainly than publish a form for a procedure we do not operate. Send copyright complaints to the address above; they are read and handled under the process on this page, and nothing here waives any right you hold under the law.
5. Urgent Safety Concerns
Put URGENT in the subject line if the content involves risk to a person, material involving a minor, or anything else that cannot wait. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first — we are a small team and cannot provide an emergency response.
